FOOD SAFETY IS A SHARED RESPONSIBILITY!
With our strong belief that food safety is a shared responsibility, the management of FoodpreneurNews, a celebrated publication of Foodpreneurs Publishing Company, in an attempt to drive home our point that food safety involves everybody in the food chain, met with a powerful grassroots group in the food supply chain.
We believed strongly that through FoodpreneurNews, we could witness a re-awakened respect for food safety. However, in the charged atmosphere of a food safety debate, personal values and risk assessment become issues.
Aside from the fact, we were warmly received by this informal sector of the economy, who appreciated our effort but regrettably said professional bodies and government agencies who are suppose to continually educate them on latest technology and sharing of best practices as it apply to preservation of perishables foodstuffs and better ways to food safety and sanitation are too distant from them.
