REDEFINING IMPROVED FOOD SAFETY AND NUTRITION ADVOCACY THROUGH ASSOCIATION FOR PROMOTION OF FOOD SAFETY AND IMPROVED NUTRITION (APFSAN)
Few weeks ago we made history with the official launch of the Lagos State Chapter of Association for Promotion of Food Safety and Improved Nutrition (APFSAN) and the inauguration of the State Management Team (SMT) with Mrs. Joyce Akpata representing the Deputy Country Director of GAIN Nigeria, Dr. Abass Yusuf.
At the occasion, we engaged all the multi-stakeholders in Lagos State that cut across the State Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) as well as other professional association, NGOs, CSO, food enthusiasts, nutritionist, students, event caterers, etc.
It was an awesome engagements that is already yielding fruitful results as the Executive Team of the Lagos State Caterers and Decorators Association (LSCDA) have reached out to us to train their members on the rudiments of Food Safety measures so as to safeguard their customers and clients from the dangers of food borne illness and other unsavoury incidents that can de-market their brands.
