ARE YOU SAFE WITH THE FOOD YOU EAT?

ARE YOU SAFE WITH THE FOOD YOU EAT?

ARE YOU SAFE WITH THE FOOD YOU EAT?

When I hear or read about Foodborne illness and waterborne illness that kills mostly children in developing countries, even though I feel scared and angry, the first question that always come to my mind is:
i-What is the government doing?
ii-How can I protect my family?

But, if we must be sincere to ourselves, we have to go a step forward to ask ourselves,
a-Is government going to do everything for us?
b- Is it possible to protect my family alone from unsafe food?

Definitely, the answer is NO.
But what can we do to protect not only our immediate family from this immediate danger but the entire Nation?
I watched over times that if we noticed expired food items in grocery stores or see an unusual movement of rodents in a restaurant, it makes headlines. And rightly so, But, have we ever considered the fact that, unsafe food which could lead to Foodborne illness, can also happen from what we do or don’t do in our own kitchens?

Bearing in mind that, unless you grow your own food, and possibly you are not from this planet, your first contact with the food you eat will likely be at an open market or supermarket, what can we do to protect our family from foodborne illness? And, what are the ways to make our food safer?

Let share opinions on this!

FOOD SAFETY IS EVERYBODY’S BUSINESS!
