FUO Celebrates Full Accreditation of Nursing Science, Three Other Programmes by Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC
Fountain University is proud to announce that the Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to all four Programmes offered by the College of Basic Medical and Health Science. The four accredited Programmes include Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Public Health, and Environmental Health Science.
The accreditation news follows a meticulous evaluation by the NUC’s accreditation panel during their visit earlier this month. The panel assessed the university’s programme curricula, faculty, and infrastructure before officially bestowing accreditation upon the four Programmes.
Receiving the news, the Vice Chancellor of Fountain University who is also a member of the Governing Council of Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFST), Prof. Olayinka Ramota Karim expressed her joy at the news, saying, “We are delighted by the NUC’s recognition of our efforts to provide high-quality education in the fields of Basic Medical and Health Science. This accomplishment is testament to the hard work and dedication of our faculty, students, and staff. Our goal is to continue enhancing our academic offerings and maintain our place as a top institution in the region.”
“The accreditation will ensure that graduates from the College of Basic Medical Health and Environmental Science are recognized and competitive in their respective fields, contributing immensely to the nation’s medical and environmental sectors”, she added.
Prof. Karim further thanked the Proprietor of the University, NASFAT, members of the management Team, Faculty members, Students, and the entire University community for their cooperation during the accreditation exercise.
