FOOD EVANGELIST MEETING WITH THE DG/CEO OF FIIRO
On Friday, 26th August, 2022, the DG/ CEO of Federal Institute of Industrial Research Oshodi (FIIRO), Dr. Jummai Adamu Tutuwa received the delegation of the Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFST) led by their 2nd Vice- President, Dr. Bola Osinowo who paid her a courtesy visit to congratulate her on her recent appointment as the substantive Chief Executive Officer of the organization and equally presented her with an Award of Distinction in recognition of her exemplary achievements, inspiring others to work collaboratively and creatively and by daring to see beyond the horizon and saw all opportunities that lay there in Science, Technology and Innovation.
Mr. Rasaq Oke as the National Publicity Secretary (NPS) of the Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFST) emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between FIIRO as the foremost research Institute in Africa and NIFST which is the largest body of professionals and practitioners in the food and allied industry in Nigeria. The food evangelist call the attention of the Director-General/ Chief Executive Officer of FIIRO on the need to commercialize its research and innovation ideas and partnership of this organization with many bodies on entrepreneurship training on transfer of technology among others.
At the end of the visit, the Dr. Jummai promised to attend the forthcoming NIFST 46th Annual Conference and AGM coming up in Abuja between 17-21 October, 2022 at the National Women Development Centre, FCT Abuja with some of her staffs.
